in the first period he had a great pass to Brock that brock deflected just wide of the net, and He had a great tip that almost got through Goalies armpit. ... in short he had a heck of a game. Probably should keep him on that line with Lee and Brock.

Bailey put the top line to sleep.. go figure.

Ross should play tomorrow. I want him to settle all family business with Deslauriers.

Tony D jumping Whalstrom figuring he had an easy target to go after and getting rag dolled is a riot.

I guess all the MMA training that Whally did with Martin over the summer is paying off. that is 2 decent fights in row albeit against 2 very small guys.

How do the refs not call in instigator on either of those clowns by the way. Down by 3 late in the game and 2 Flyers went after Islanders players. That is text book instigator.. we shouldn't have to worry about Deslauriers and Tony D this game and Torts getting fined would have been the cherry on top.

The last few games we have had some terrible officiating. I was at the game and couldn’t believe there were no instigator penalties called. It just didn’t make any sense.

The 2 games before that flyers game were just absurd.

My favorite was the tripping call on Nelson against Columbus

But Beau's slashing call in the Oilers game was a very close second

That call on Beau was a wtf moment. If the NHL ever wonders why fans have these theories that refs have an agenda look no further then these last three games. I don’t align with that mantra but man sometimes it makes you think when you watch the officiating. So bad.

Not sure why they cant challenge that......if seen on film, the stick hit stick. No penalty

You can still get a slashing penalty for slashing someone's stick. But that was the equivalent of getting a speeding ticket for doing 56 in a 55, terrible application of the rule

I had a conversation with a few buddies who are Ranger's fans last week. I said that Reaves getting traded will have a big effect on this team. someone will take a run at Trouba this week. He was fine head hunting in the playoffs when he had Reaves there to make sure no one went after him... no Reaves changes the whole dynamic. it will go back to a couple of years ago when Panarin was getting his head bounced off ice by Wilson. INstead of trading him they should have just played him more.

The slashing the stick penalty always drove me nuts. If you break the stick.. fine. If the guy drops it b/c he isn't holding on to his stick hard enough that is one him. It's a dumb rule.

I don't buy that narrative personally, but I get the line of thinking

I think it should still be a penalty for cases where you really chop down on someone's stick, whether you break it or not. You shouldn't be able to tomahawk their stick to cause them to lose control of the puck. But yeah, there are a lot of instances where refs just see contact and call it regardless and that was most certainly one of them

I would agree with that.. the ones that drive me nuts are when a guy is holding their stick with one hand and because they dropped it or it went flying on a stick lift they call it... put the onus on the player. Hold your friggen stick.

Suddenly the rangers top players will be getting attacked now that Reaves is gone. Yeah ok.
